We are pleased to announce that we have opened a new and expanded visual services department on the 3rd floor of our Dedham Medical Norwood practice, and we can now offer an array of adult and pediatric eye care services:
- Our optometrists provide comprehensive primary eye care, diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma screening exams, and eye glass and contact lens prescribing
- Our ophthalmologists can provide comprehensive medical and surgical eye care and vitreo-retinal services
- For our younger patients, we can see them for urgent pediatric eye care needs, including conjunctivitis, foreign bodies, and allergic eye disease, to name a few. We can also provide routine care to children 5 years and older
- Our new facility houses many state-of-the-art testing services including visual field testing and a variety of retina, cataract, glaucoma and cornea imaging equipment
- We can also perform on site minor operative procedures and laser treatments for glaucoma, cataract, and retinal disorders

Our Dedham Medical Norwood providers are:

Brian Braveman, OD – Dr. Braveman has been at Dedham Medical Dedham since 2008. His clinical interests include contact lenses and corneal disease. Dr. Braveman is a graduate of the New England College of Optometry and is board certified in optometry.
Stephanie Battista, OD – Dr. Battista has been at Atrius Health since 2011. She is a graduate of the New England School of Optometry and is board certified in optometry.
Roberto Cavalieros, MD – Dr. Cavalieros has recently joined the ophthalmology department at Dedham Medical Norwood. Dr. Cavalieros completed his ophthalmology training at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary. Prior to joining Atrius Health, he has been a respected ophthalmologist practicing in the western suburbs of Massachusetts. He is a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon who cares for a wide spectrum of medical and surgical diseases of the eye. He will be operating at Surgisite Boston in Waltham in addition to having surgical privileges at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.
Michael Pinnolis, MD – We are pleased to announce that Dr. Michael Pinnolis will be joining the ophthalmology department at Dedham Medical Norwood beginning in January, 2017. Dr. Pinnolis started with Atrius Health in 1982 and has held a number of leadership roles within the organization in addition to his practice as an ophthalmologist with a retina sub-specialty at both Harvard Vanguard and Dedham Medical Associates. Dr. Pinnolis has taught residents and fellows at Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary for more than twenty years and holds a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School. He will see patients for care and treatment of retinal diseases including macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
